EAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey — Wiz Khalifa is riding high — pun not intended, even though it kind of works — off the success of his debut album, “Rolling Papers,” and a stage show that is quickly garnering a lot of praise. But Wiz can’t seem to escape the gossip that doggedly follows him and girlfriend Amber Rose around.
Rumor has it that Wiz confronted Kanye West over a jab West took at Rose during his show-stealing set at Coachella. During his performance of “Stronger,” West slightly altered the lyrics from “I’ll do anything for a blonde dike and she’ll do anything for the limelight/ We’ll do anything when the time’s right” to “I did anything for a blonde dike and she did anything for the limelight/ And we did anything when the time’s right.”
An altercation allegedly occurred after West’s performance, but when MTV News caught up with Wiz before his set at this weekend’s Bamboozle Festival, he said the entire backstage incident was fabricated.
“I did my set and we hung around for a bit, but we weren’t even there when fam was onstage,” Wiz said. “Somebody made that up. I think they just wanted it to be that type of situation or they wanted to see something go down. It’s fun to talk about it and make jokes about, but in all reality, that didn’t even exist.”
Wiz said he did hear Kanye’s lyrics though. He thought it was a low moment, that many people who look up to West may have been turned off by his lyrical alteration. He harbors no ill will, however.
“It is what it is, and I’m doing my business and she’s doing her business and he’s doing his business and that’s what it is. I’m all about positivity and I’m going to keep it that way.”
Wiz kept things moving, co-headlining Bamboozle Friday night along with 30 Seconds to Mars. Wiz is currently on the College Consciousness Tour with fellow Steel City native Mac Miller, and he plans to head out with the Motor City’s own Big Sean next month for the Rolling Papers tour. But he’s happy to perform wherever his fans — or soon-to-be-fans — may be.
“I think my crowd, they kind of just go everywhere and wherever I’m at. I kind of just entertain them as well as make new fans. Some of the people that come to my shows, they just know me for one or two songs, so even the people that don’t know me at all at shows like Bamboozle, I get to make them new fans.”

When Casey Abrams ended up standing next to Jacob Lusk and Scotty McCreery on “American Idol” on Thursday night, he had a feeling the end was nigh. Then, when Lusk was sent to safety, well, that was all she wrote.
“Everyone was just so incredible [on Wednesday night]. … My performance was pretty good, but seeing Jacob kill it and then seeing Haley kill it, seeing Scotty and Lauren kill it and Durbin obviously … it just made me feel like, ‘These guys are incredible. These guys could carry the show. I don’t really need to be here, so if I go home tomorrow, I’m prepared,’ ” he said of the thoughts going through his head after Wednesday night’s Carole King performance show.
But, facing a deluge of questions about the status of his relationship with frequent duet buddy (and reported offscreen paramour) Haley Reinhart during a call with reporters on Friday morning (April 29), Abrams made sure to clear up the most important bit of business about the rest of his career first, saying that the moment the two shared at the end of his final performance on Thursday night was unplanned and not a sign of anything other than good times. “I was saying goodbye to my very special musical friend,” he explained of their eye-lock, emphasizing that they are not, and never were, a couple.
Abrams said he was “feeling really good, actually” about things on Friday morning and that he never really got too upset about the results. “I felt really good even afterwards. Maybe I’ll break down crying some other time. But right now, I feel really good about what happened last night.”
In his typical fashion, Abrams went out with a bang, not only having his “Haley moment,” but also kissing audience members and the judges and rolling around onstage. “What was going through my mind was just, ‘Make this good,’ ” he said of his jubilant goodbye. “I was completely on random mode. I didn’t plan on ending up on Haley; it just happened that way. Nothing was planned.”
Though we saw him play acoustic and electric bass, piano, guitar and melodica on the show, Abrams revealed that he also dabbles in drums, sitar, accordion, cello and clarinet. When it comes to how he might corral all that prodigious instrumental talent into a live show, he said it would likely bear the title, “Pure Craziness” and encompass everything from hard rock to smooth jazz, much like his first post-”Idol” album.
With a number of shaky vocal performances over the course of his tenure on the show, Casey said that, even with his long background in studying and playing music, being on “Idol” has done a lot for his confidence as a performer. “Everything. It’s done every single thing,” he said. “I used to not like to sing in public, and now I feel like I’m singing a little bit too much. Now I’ll sing in the hallways with random people I don’t even know. Maybe that’s a bad thing, but I just feel a lot more comfortable onstage, and I feel like I can do anything onstage now.”
Although the judges and mentor Jimmy Iovine had warned Casey to dial back the growling and scowling after his take on Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” the singer had fallen back into his old ways in recent weeks, begging the question of whether he was purposely ignoring their counsel. “It is kind of how I sing when I don’t think about it,” he explained. “I think that’s a good place to be when you don’t think about how you sing. … It’s a gray area. It’s hard to define what’s a good growl and what’s a bad growl.”
Like other contestants who have benefited from the judges’ save in the past, Abrams said he felt the pressure of having the panel bail him out and dedicated himself to working even harder because it would have been “really embarrassing” to go home the very next week. That said, Abrams admitted he never expected to get as far as he did, or win, and feels pretty great about making it to the top six.
Asked for his final thoughts, Abrams said simply, “Don’t take yourself too seriously. Take music seriously, but not yourself.”

You’d think, given the worldwide tour in support of their This Is War album, that 30 Seconds to Mars would have logged at least a half-dozen New York City-area shows by this point. But you’d be wrong: To date, they’ve played exactly one NYC concert (an April 21, 2010, gig at Roseland Ballroom), which is just part of the reason they’re looking forward to Friday night’s (April 29) headlining slot at the Bamboozle Festival in nearby East Rutherford, New Jersey.
“Bamboozle is going to be insanity. I mean, insanity,” frontman Jared Leto told MTV News during Thursday night’s “30 Seconds to Mars: State of the Union” live stream. “We’ve only played one New York City-area show in this record cycle, so I think it’s going to be madness.”
30STM will share the weekend with an assortment of artists, including Lil Wayne, Bruno Mars, Wiz Khalifa, Mötley Crüe, Taking Back Sunday and the Gaslight Anthem, to name just a half-dozen. And, to hear 30 Seconds to Mars tell it, that’s half the fun. Sure, they’ve been playing to sold-out arenas of their own fans for more than a year now, but nothing compares to the thrill — and the challenge — of trying to win over an audience of other people’s fans.
“Nothing can really beat your own show, but festivals are really great too,” guitarist Tomo Milicevic said. “At festivals, you play in front of other fans too.”
The 2011 Bamboozle Festival takes over the New Meadowlands Stadium parking lot in East Rutherford, New Jersey, all weekend. MTV News will be on hand to bring you all the madness!

I took this photo printer since I also recently developed a liking to printing my family’s photos. Since photo inkjets are excellent for both documents and pictures, then it would be like hitting two birds with one stone. But I still ready this detailed review of the product so you are able to find out much more about it.
Design
I know several new technologies are coming out of the market, but I chose to get this model because I truly don’t need a network since I only have 1 home laptop or computer. I do not require multifunctional devices either simply because I don’t actually work at home. Matt And Kim Promise A ‘Sweaty Dance Party’ At O Music Awards

While MTV News is getting ready to rock out at the O Music Awards, streaming live tonight from Las Vegas at 11 p.m. ET, we have our team reporting from in and around the festivities, trying to get the scoop from fans and featured musicians alike.
MTV TJ Gabi Gregg caught up with creative duo Matt and Kim to get some details about their upcoming performance, as well as their thoughts on Chiddy Bang’s efforts to win the “Longest Rap Freestyle” crown.
“We hope it’s going to be in typical Matt and Kim fashion,” keyboardist Matt Johnson said of their performance. “A sweaty dance party, I think.”
“I don’t even think we have to think about it,” drummer Kim Schifino added. “I think Vegas is going to bring that for us.”
Regarding what they could tease about said sweaty dance party, Johnson teased that there will be audience involvement and possibly a few balloons.
“We’ve been known to play in the center of the room with our audience around us. We’re so much about the whole thing being a part of the experience,” he said. “Not just us; the whole audience is part of the experience too, and in this situation, I love [that] we’re going to be in the center of the crowd.
“I do know that there’s a thing called globophobia, which is the fear of balloons, and there might be a lot of balloons involved coming up later,” he teased.
Schifino and Johnson haven’t been focusing all their attention on the performance, however. They’re especially interested in Chiddy Bang’s nine-hour freestylin’ feat.
“We were watching online,” Schifino said. “I’ve also been twittering at him, throwing out things he could talk about. I don’t know if he’s actually incorporated any of that, but, you know, typical ‘Kim is awesome,’ ‘Kim has a slammin’ booty.’ ”
Awesome Kim-isms aside, Schifino went on to say that she’s amazed that Chiddy, a.k.a. Chiddy Bang’s Chidera Anamege, has the stamina to keep rapping.
“It’s stressful to watch, because you’re there rooting for him,” she said. “He can’t take more than a three-second break. I couldn’t talk for nine hours, let alone freestyle and be creative with it.”

The Toshiba Satellite L655D-133 incorporates a beautiful and robust design. Its sleekness and portability causes it to be perfect for businessmen as well as other professionals, who need to transport their own laptop wherever each goes. Among the major attractions of the laptop is its 15.6 inch widescreen LCD display with LED backlighting, which are the laptop energy-efficient. At the same time, the 16:9 aspect ratio and quality display of the laptop, provides an exciting multimedia experience to the users.
Keyboard and Touchpad
The mildly glossy black keyboard on the Satellite L655D has a full number pad and was comfortable for typing. While the keyboard is roomy enough, we will have liked it better if Toshiba had shrunk down the lesser used Alt, Windows, and highlighting keys as an alternative to the space bar.The Satellite L655D’s touchpad looks small, we found its 3.25 x 1.6-inch size to be big enough to use comfortably. The matte finish provided adequate roughness for quick and accurate control. In addition to allowing scrolling using the right side of the touchpad, the touchpad also enables multitouch gestures just like pinch-to-zoom.Recessed to a shallow oval well, the rounded mouse buttons overhang the edges of the L655D’s touchpad by most an inch on either side.
Display and Audio
The 15.6-inch display includes a native, standard resolution of 1,366 by 768. The screen is bright with good viewing angles. The widescreen display (16:9 aspect ratio) is convenient when working with documents side-by-side in Windows 7 Home Premium, and in addition it serves movie viewing well. A low-grade 0.3-megapixel Webcam sits above the display and Toshiba has added facial recognition software to the laptop to visit upon bootup. The Toshiba Satellite models I’ve reviewed over the years rarely at any time offered passable audio. This trend has changed with the L665D-S5066, that provides sound that’s on the par with Dell and Hp systems. The laptop’s stereo speakers sit above the keyboard, behind two attractive, oval-shaped speaker grills.
Ports and Webcam
On the left side of the Satellite L655D you’ll find mic and headphone jacks, HDMI, a combined eSATA and USB, VGA, Ethernet, and a Kensington lock slot. On the right, the two more USBs as well as a SuperMulti DVD burner with Labelflash support. The L655D’s 640 x 480 webcam produced clear images, but the colors were a little muddy. A lime-green Android doll looked dull when captured. Within a Skype video call, our caller said the picture was bright but not very detailed. Strangely, the picture did actually dim then brighten every moment.Toshiba’s webcam software starts up once you power on the computer and resides in the drop-down bar in the upper left corner. Even as it provides handy having access to the webcam software, we found it got in the way and would seem while switching between tabs in Chrome. Likewise, the auto hide setting didn’t fully hide the bar.
Performance
Based on AMD’s new Vision platform that supports faster DDR3 memory, HyperTransport 3, and Direct X 11, the Satellite L665D features a dual-core 2.3GHz Turion II P520 CPU, 4GB of DDR3 memory, and ATI Radeon HD 4225 integrated graphics. Any modern dual-core CPU provides snappy performance for basic tasks in Windows 7, that’s the case here. Applications load quickly, i didn’t experience any lags when multitasking.
